archiTEXTure

So, I have over the last couple of months not visiting or even write something on the blog. The architecture world did really well (I declare again!...;p) for making me hardtop, and I love being hardtop. I just can't wondering myself waking up in the late morning and found myself have nothing to do for the entire day. I guess I can't deal with such "have nothing to do" feeling, so I am actually grateful to Global Rancang Selaras architecture firm for hiring me and involving me with their tremendeous projects all around the country. I am so pleased.

Meeting Again for The First Time

Not to mention that the college-tasks been a burden for me, even though architecture did well to suck-my blood and flesh, curiousness or I might say, a goosebumps whenever I see a bunch of interesting work, a cutting-edge architect (is this term really exist?), and yes, the city images itself! Recently, after being paralyzed for a year with the rigidity of form, whitenesses, grid-pattern by Prophet Meier, I develop some kind of interest with the image of the city. Though I don't have any educational-background yet ragarding this subject, I am more interested in seeing people move across the city, watch people behave, or how the relationship between the city-dwellers and the city itself. I do believe that the quality of the city, give a tremendous effect for the dweller's living quality. And respectively, it is important for everyone studiying architecture to feel and experience the city, as well as Prophet Steven Holl said once in the Global Architecture,"The mistake I knew I were making is that I spent day by day in Rome as a tourist not as a architecture student, it was quite ironic because I live close enough behind the Pantheon".Hmmmm...

Recently, Yori Antar published a book entitled "Komedi Satire Ruang Terbuka Hijau", along with the hype of "Relativitas" by Adi Purnomo, and "Kota Rumah Kita" by Marco Kusumawijaya. The more the Indonesian architect published their own thought, the more advantage we have, and yes, the more recognition we can achieve.

My next term is just about to begun. This term's gonna be a interesting period of time for me.
